Mission
The Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville was formed in 2007 to foster and build partnerships between Arts, Business and the Community that are mutually beneficial and contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of Greater Nashville.
This mission is accomplished through programs that:
- Promote volunteerism - involve business professionals in the arts as a way of giving back to the community;
- Provide arts management training and resources - help arts professionals and their boards master the business of the arts;
- Inspire workforce creativity - to help companies use creativity as a means of individual and institutional development;
- Advocate closer ties between business, the arts and the community
- Positively impact Greater Nashville's economy and quality of life
- Serve as a hub for creating conversation and collaboration through the arts
- Encourage business and community support of the arts to sustain a vibrant and flourishing arts community
- Provide programs, training, research and advocacy that build dynamic and mutually beneficial links between business and the arts
- Connect business and arts communities as a vehicle for workforce creativity, economic development and business prosperity while helping companies to leverage the arts for their innovative and creative success
- Create greater awareness of arts and their importance to community, while playing a playing a catalytic role in Greater Nashville engaging and promoting its creative economy and cultural tourism
